Pattern Design + Construction:

I've recently changed up my skincare routine to include a toner, which seemed to require some type of cotton round or face pad for application. I don't particularly like the idea of tossing two of these per day into the trash so I decided to crochet some reusable cotton rounds!

These cotton rounds are super simple to make, consisting of only three rounds of half double crochet. It's easy to crochet a set quickly, which makes for great crochet gift ideas! These are adorable crochet gifts tied with some jute or in a mason jar. I made a set of 14 for myself so I can use two per day for a week before washing. The finished cotton pads measure approximately two inches wide; however, I've included an additional row option in the pattern if you'd prefer a larger cotton round.

Yarn:

I'm using 100% cotton yarn for this crochet project, but you could definitely experiment with different blends to see which feel you like best. I like that I can wash and dry these reusable cotton rounds with my weekly laundry. I toss these into a mesh delicates bag and wash with my normal laundry (make sure your products don't discolor clothing first!). The cotton absorbs my toner nicely instead of rolling off.
